Returning to where it all started, I was doing an impromptu shoot with my sister at the location where I shot my first blog post and we were joking about all the bad content we put out when I first began. This conversation got me thinking about all the blogger mistakes I have made and I’m sure many bloggers have made as well. So I decided to put together a list of the 5 biggest mistakes I’ve made as a blogger & how you can avoid them.
What are sisters for if you can’t raid their wardrobes from time to time?
I just turned 22 and it definitely snuck up on me. You never realise how quickly life is moving until your birthday comes around. I’ve lost friends, gained friends, fallen in love and made mistakes, both big and small. For the first time in a long time, I am feeling optimistic about getting older and I am finally embracing all the highs and lows that come with being an adult. I usually don’t look forward to my birthday because my birthday is usually a sad reminder that I am not where I thought I would be at certain points in my life. My biggest fear in life is not achieving everything I want to achieve. However, this year I have decided to embrace my new age and acknowledge the fact that everyone else is still figuring it out.
Here are my 22 lessons in 22 Years:
The No. 21 brand is one that I have been eyeing up for a very long time. The designer Alessandro Dell’Acqua combines elements of tailoring with a feminine, Italian sensibility. The No.21 brand is well known for its unique details such as the signature bow tie, embellishments and cool prints. The silhouettes are quite reserved and sophisticated and that is what drew me to the brand. The knotted satin sandals have become a favourite for me this season and so I wanted to do a review on my new favourite shoes.

Internships are a funny one, most internships are unpaid and interns are usually overworked. However, they are also a great opportunity for you to ‘learn’ and also try out different roles for short periods of time. I have heard so many horror stories about internships and how people have been taken advantage of for no pay or very little pay. There are so many issues with fashion internships, but, taking on a few internships early in your career is a great way to gain experience as well as figure out what your interests are.
PROS: Great on your CV | Confidence boost and great for making contacts | Possible paid role at the end if you’re good | Great Learning experience | Little commitment – can always leave if unhappy.
CONS: Full-time job commitments & hours without the pay | Waste of time if the role is not what you expected. read more
Spring is officially upon us! I usually welcome spring with a certain level of disdain because I live for cold winter days. However, after much deliberation, I have decided to embrace spring and enjoy all the amazing things that come with this season. I decided to write this post on all the things I am grateful for this spring. I have decided that I am going to be thankful & focus less on the negatives Spring. So here is a list of all the best things about Spring:
All Devil Wears Prada fans will know what I’m talking about. Florals for spring is always expected and has become the easiest way to stay on trend every spring.

I have a love-hate relationship with Ankara (African print,). I love how colourful and vibrant Ankara fabric is but I have a phobia of delving too far out of my comfort zone when it comes to colour so Ankara is usually reserved for weddings and events in Nigeria. I rediscovered my love for Ankara about a month ago when I decided to rearrange my wardrobe. I randomly pulled out this Ankara dress which had been custom made for me a few years ago but had never seen the light of day. I have since dusted off the rest of my Ankara pieces and to be honest as spring is here, it is the perfect time to add come colour to my wardrobe.
Since I went Paleo, the most difficult thing for me has been finding sweet treats. I have such a sweet tooth and banana bread is one of my favorite things to make & eat – Find my Vegan Paleo Bread here. I recently discovered this Paleo Banana Bread recipe by Chef Pete Evans (here) and I immediately tried it out for myself. It is delicious and tasted just like a regular banana bread but it was sugar-free & gluten-free. I added some Pecans because I love pecans and I knew they would go well with banana.
