As London Fashion Week draws to a close, we look back on some of the most amazing collections and shine the light on some of my favourite looks from right here in the capital.
Mother of Pearl
The Mother of Pearl collection had a youthful exuberance about it. It sort of made me think of a sophisticated take on the preppy look. The use of florals and the simple silhouette created a gorgeous collection.
As usual Emilia Wickstead’s collection included shades of dusty lavender and mustard yellow. This collection was filled with simple, modern lady like pieces.
This collection was beautiful, the theme was female power and I was loving it. The pieces were beautifully tailored and much more wearable than Pugh’s usual experimental style. The most interesting look for me was look was the royal blue and star-spangled suit.
This is collection, inspired by abstract art was exquisite. The marron and navy hues, mixed with the sharp tailoring and geometric print put this collection at the top of my list for AW16.
Duro Olowu, one of my absolute favourite designers did not fail to impress with this collection. As usual, the use of bold colours and clashing prints were what created a striking collection. the collection, although bold, the silhouettes were kept quite simple which allowed the prints to really speak for themselves and added to that classic element.
