22 Lessons in 22 Years

Lifestyle May 28, 2017 4 Comments

I just turned 22 and it definitely snuck up on me. You never realise how quickly life is moving until your birthday comes around. I’ve lost friends, gained friends, fallen in love and made mistakes, both big and small. For the first time in a long time, I am feeling optimistic about getting older and I am finally embracing all the highs and lows that come with being an adult. I usually don’t look forward to my birthday because my birthday is usually a sad reminder that I am not where I thought I would be at certain points in my life. My biggest fear in life is not achieving everything I want to achieve. However, this year I have decided to embrace my new age and acknowledge the fact that everyone else is still figuring it out.

Here are my 22 lessons in 22 Years:

Pink

Outfits Style January 14, 2017 1 Comments

Winter is around the corner so why not add some hues of pink to your winter style. I personally love berry tones as it makes berry so much easier to wear during the winter months.

Style December 23, 2016 0 Comments

It’s that time of the year again and as we know, its holiday/ party season so it’s safe to say that for the next few weeks, the dress code is strictly ‘festive’. Tis the season to buy an obscene amount of new dresses and not feel guilty about it because you know they will be put to good use. But, as we all know eating is as much a part of the festivities so here are my top picks of comfortable party dresses, complete with elasticated waists, flattering shapes and frills that are oh-so-giving and will take you from meal time to dance floor.

Some days I am in the mood to go full glam but other days, all I want to do is throw on a hoodie and be comfortable, but comfort does not have to mean sacrificing your style. Everyone has that favourite hoodie in their wardrobe, making an appearance after a long day or during lazy winter days. Hoodies should not be cast away as something that only makes an appearance when we’re binge watching something on Netflix but it could be something that you can wear any day, any time, no matter if it’s summer, spring or winter outside. I recently embraced wearing a hoodie and dressing down a lot more so I decided to put together some casual style tips to try an elevate an outfit on any lazy day.

School of Thought: A Review of J JS LEE SS17 Collection

Fashion Week September 19, 2016 1 Comments

The collection by the Korean-born, London-based designer was everything I love in a collection, minimal, impeccable tailoring and great presentation. The designer opted for a presentation to reveal her SS17 collection because according to the designer, the collection is ‘in need of a closer look’. The J JS LEE SS17 collection allowed both the fashion crowd and the general public…

The Block Heel

Outfits Style August 17, 2016 2 Comments
The block-heel has been the shoe of the moment for a long time now and its popularity does not appear to be faltering anytime soon. At 5’5, I am grateful for the extra inches that heels give me but as someone who wears heels all the time, I am thanking my lucky stars that sensible shoes are dominating the fashion world right now. From sneakers to block heels, the styles are just as practical as they are stylish. I am currently obsessed with the block heeled sandals, they are so refreshingly comfortable, versatile and perfect for summer. They work with a pair of frayed hem jeans or a summery shift dress (as I have styled it above) and they even work for office looks.
